About Me

I'm Tom Kaczocha. I run a lawn care business in Brisbane and build software for founders trying to figure out the same things I am.
Eighteen years as a software engineer before I got sick of building things for other people. Started Original Solutions to scratch my own itch: every piece of software my lawn care business touched made me want to throw the phone. Turns out service businesses are everywhere, and the tools they run on are universally terrible. That observation keeps informing what I build, who I build it for, and what I leave alone.
By day that means Vista Lawn Care — actual mowers, actual customers on the Southside. The rest of the time I'm shipping ExpertDrip, a course platform built on behavioural modelling of founders who've done the hard part (getting their first 100 customers), and maintaining do-work, an open-source Claude Code framework I built because the existing ones were too slow for how I actually work.
With ExpertDrip specifically, the bet is that behavioural modelling of founders who've done it beats another polished video course nobody finishes. Short, audio-first, workflow-shaped.
Stack is Laravel, PHP, Vue. Opinions are strong and usually wrong the first time.
What I'm building
The current focus is ExpertDrip and do-work. Everything else — past projects, side experiments, things I use but don't sell — lives in Projects.
Now
What I'm heads-down on this week is in the Log.
